About the work

I am a French-British artist born in Dubai in 2002. My work explores imagined worlds shaped by cultural memory, music, and historical environments. Through painting, I create landscapes, visual compositions that combine elements of architecture, figures, and symbolic imagery to create spaces that feel both familiar and fictional.

Many of my paintings resemble maps or environments viewed from above, where small figures, animals, and structures form layered scenes of activity. These compositions allow multiple narratives to exist within a single image, inviting viewers to wander through the work and discover moments of life unfolding across the surface.

Alongside these landscape worlds, I also explore the visual language of music. Inspired by jazz and improvised sound, some works translate rhythm and melody into colour, line, and gesture. Figures, instruments, and fragments of text appear within energetic compositions that attempt to capture the movement and atmosphere of music rather than simply depict it.

Across both bodies of work, I am interested in creating images that reward close looking. Through the repetition of detail, colour relationships, and layered forms, my paintings become environments that gradually reveal themselves over time.

In addition to physical painting, I also use digital painting as a space for experimentation, where ideas about colour, scale, and composition can be explored before being translated into physical works.
